Practical PLA degradable straws will replace plastic or paper straws

  PLA(polylactic acid) is a new kind of biodegradable material. Its production method is: the use of renewable plant resources (cassava, corn and other crops) refined starch, starch raw materials get glucose by saccharification, fermentation strains by glucose metabolism again made into highly purified lactic acid, and high molecular weight is obtained by synthesis methods of polymerization of lactic acid, and then processing molding, made with good performance, biodegradable straws.
  PLA straw has good biodegradability and generates CO2 and H2O, which does not pollute the environment and can meet the needs of industrial composting. After high temperature extrusion, the straw has good thermal stability, good solvent resistance, gloss, transparency and feel performance of its products can replace petroleum based products, and the physical and chemical indexes of the products can meet the requirements of food safety laws and regulations in various places. Therefore, it has a wide range of applications and can basically adapt to the needs of most drinks on the current market.
  PLA straw has good moisture-proof and airtight property and stable performance at room temperature, but it will automatically decompose under the action of oxygen and microorganism when the temperature is higher than 45℃. Special attention should be paid to the temperature during the transportation and storage of the product. Long-term high temperature will lead to deformation of the PLA straw.
  From the perspective of production and processing, PLA degradable plastics have good mechanical properties and high hardness. There is a high degree of transparency in the vision, it can be said that the level of strength and appearance coexist. From the perspective of treatment, PLA degradable plastics can be degraded in only 90 days under the condition of industrial composting. The shape and performance of PLA degradable straw are close to that of traditional straw products made of polypropylene. The product has good gloss and permeability, and has the characteristics of health, environmental protection and biodegradation. The storage life can reach 12 months.
  
  PLA degradable straws and paper straws
  PLA degradable straws and paper straws can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature, and eventually generate carbon dioxide and water. Directly into soil organic matter or absorbed by plants, no greenhouse effect, no impact on the environment. Both are in line with the concept of today's environmentally friendly society and avoid the white garbage caused by plastic straws made of polypropylene.
  But there are some differences. The PLA degradable straw can withstand temperatures from -10℃ to 80℃, which is closer to the traditional plastic straw, and has the same physical properties as the traditional plastic straw, with higher stability. But the color is simpler than a paper straw.
  Paper straws can withstand temperatures ranging from -10℃ to 40℃. When the temperature exceeds 40℃, it is easy to dissolve, which will affect the taste of food. But it can be customized to different designs, can be decorative, more beautiful.
  
  On the whole, PLA degradable straws and paper straws are both popular environmental straws at present, but with different styles. Customers can choose different environmental straws according to their own needs.
